Coaches play a crucial role in shaping young athletes’ experiences, not only in sport, but also in their personal development. Thanks to funding from Benefit Geelong, the OGFNC is hosting an event to bring local coaches together and provide strategies to support players from all backgrounds, ensuring they feel valued and included.
The session will be MC’d by former Barwon Sports Academy Chair, John Stevens, and will explore how coaches can minimise potential barriers for diverse individuals and ensure that our clubs are as inclusive as they can be. We will also be hearing about the importance of managing challenging behaviour and the impact that Drugs and Alcohol have on young people in our town.
Guest Speakers include:
-The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre
-Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Corp
-Cultura
-Pride Cup
-Performance Psychologist, Michele Mitten
-Shane Connolley, Bellarine Police
Please ensure that you include the name of of your club and role under the "Position" category when securing your ticket!
